Francine entered Heaven on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Stanford Hospital, reuniting with her son Ron, daughter Laurie, brother Frank, and other family members.
Francine was born July 15, 1938 in San Diego, California and adopted by James and Paula Lawson. Often calling herself a Navy brat, she moved all over the country, settling down more than once in Napa, California, which she considered home. She graduated from Waukegan high school in Illinois. She was a Native Daughter of the Golden West.
Francine had a passion for cooking, preparing delicious meals for her family and friends, and collecting what seems to be hundreds of cookbooks. Her favorite place was Hawaii, where she once lived as a child and went back to visit as many times as possible. She also had a love for all her animals throughout the years.
Francine retired from Beringer Winery after 25 years in 2000.
Francine is survived by her loving husband of 33 years Allen Clemons, children Cindy Hoskinson, Wendy Albers Scofield (Patrick), Robert Stever and Terie Renner; grandchildren Daemon, Jonathan, Chrissy, Alexandra, Molly and Christian. She is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 10:00 am, at First Christian Church, 2659 First Street in Napa, California. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Francine's life.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and other staff who cared for mom at St. Helena Hospital and Stanford Hospital for their kindness and dedication.
