Eural Archambeault Obituary

EURAL "LARRY" ARCHAMBEAULT
March 21, 1939 - April 24, 2018

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Eural "Larry" Archambeault following a valiant battle with cancer and other illnesses. He died peacefully on April 24, with the comfort of his beloved wife, Eleanor, and daughter, Rebecca, by his side.
Larry was born and raised in Savannah, GA before setting sail on a 20-year career in the Navy. He specialized in codes and communications technology, and rose to the rank of Master Chief. He served on a variety of Navy ships and particularly enjoyed his time teaching Crypto repair at the former Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo. Following his retirement from the Navy, Larry worked as an engineering technician at the San Francisco Naval Shipyard and other locations.
Larry was a dedicated family man and husband to Eleanor Archambeault, who he married in Hawaii in 1963. Their daughter, Rebecca, was welcomed into the family in 1972.
Larry and his family moved to the Napa Valley in the 1970s, where he enjoyed bicycling, cooking and hiking around the hills. He was also an inspired photographer who often kept a camera with him during his outdoor adventures.

Larry's greatest joy in life was spending time and building memories with his family. Nothing made him happier than being "Grandpa Larry" to his beloved granddaughter, Minka, and grandson, Diego, and watching them grow. He was a faithful and loving companion to Eleanor, whom he always referred to lovingly as "my bride," and cherished his relationship with Rebecca, who will forever be his "Miss Peach." His extended family remembers Larry fondly for his incredible generosity and hospitality.
Larry is also survived by a son-in-law, Chris Macias of Davis, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in Hawaii, Georgia and Florida. He also leaves behind his cherished cats: Pinot, Bella, Abby and Jefe.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa for their great care of Larry in his last days.

Donations can be made in Larry's name to the American Cancer Society.
