Eric P. D'Entremont

Eric P. D’Entremont of Napa, CA passed away at Kaiser Permanente Vallejo on January 29, 2023, leaving a huge hole in the hearts of his close friends and family. 

Born September 10, 1960 in Stoneham, MA to Peter C. D’Entremont and Teresa M. D’Entremont (Abreau), Eric moved to Napa in 1973 and graduated from Vintage High School in 1978.  He worked various hands-on jobs in Napa until finding a position at the Chevron Richmond Refinery where he remained for 38 years, eventually becoming a Head Operator – a position he enjoyed despite the long hours. 

Not averse to risk, Eric enjoyed competitive skateboarding as a teen, transitioning to tamer riding as an adult even well into his fifties.  (Yes, Eric did his own stunts.)  He loved bike riding, built BMX bikes, skateboards, and customized vehicles out of miscellaneous parts; his garage rarely housed a car.  He enjoyed camping at our Northern California beaches, sitting beside the fire, walking along the coastline, finding treasure and adventure.  He might have been a stubborn procrastinator, attached to things exactly going according to plan(!), but he had an explorer’s heart, a hooligan’s mindset, a quirky attitude toward life that made us love him anyway. 

Eric is survived by his wife, Leslie D’Entremont (Hatton); daughter, Olivia Verville and husband Mark; stepchildren Danny and Abby Salazar; grandchildren: Markie, Emmett, and Keira Verville; sister, Sandy D’Entremont  and brother-out-law, Joseph Henning.  In addition, Eric was a proud and generous uncle to Dylan D’Entremont and Jeremy Henning and their families.  He will be dearly missed by his extended family and friends, as well as his forever brothers and sisters at Hillside Church and Celebrate Recovery.

A grave-side service will be held February 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Tulocay Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please forward any donations to the Celebrate Recovery Program, % First Christian Church of Napa, 2659 First St., Napa, CA 94558 (specify in memory of Eric D’Entremont).
