Ed Rodgers passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025 in Napa, California at the age of 86.
Ed was born in 1939 in Napa, CA to Lenore and Edward Rodgers. He graduated from Napa High School in 1958 and joined the US Air Force shortly thereafter. Ed married his high school sweetheart Joan in 1961 and they were blessed with two children, Perry and Steve. After his time in the Air Force, Ed worked briefly for Wells Fargo before starting a 30 year career with PG&E.
Ed loved playing baseball in high school and taught his two boys how to play at a young age. Throughout the years, Ed enjoyed summer camping trips with his family, playing golf with his friends, and traveling with Joan and their friends to places such as New York, Alaska, Panama Canal, and Italy. He also took great pride in having a well manicured yard, spending hours each weekend maintaining it.
Ed is survived by his wife, Joan Rodgers; children Perry Rodgers (Greenbank, WA) and Steve Rodgers (Sacramento, CA), brother Ron Rodgers (Sonoma, CA), niece Shelley Boyer (Sonoma, CA), and nephew Ron Boyer (Los Osos, CA). He was predeceased by his mother Lenore Rawle (Napa, CA), father Edward Rodgers (Napa, CA), sister Norene Boyer (Honolulu, HI), and brother-in-law Doug Boyer (Honolulu, HI).
