It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Donald (Donnie) Paul Hartman. Donnie was a lifelong Napa resident and sixth generation Napa native. He passed away on January 24, 2025 at the age of 64.
Donnie was born to Lee and Georgina Hartman, the second of three children, on February 29, 1960 (leap year day). He attended Bel-Aire Elementary, Redwood Junior High, and Vintage High School; Class of 1978. Donnie was quite the athlete, belonging to the Napa Judo Club where he achieved the rank of black belt. During his many years competing in Judo, he made it to several national tournaments. He was also a very successful wrestler for Vintage High School.
Donnie spent several years as a butcher, ran a dairy farm as well as many years as a carpenter/framer. His favorite pastime was fishing with his sons and friends.
Above all else his greatest pride were his sons Donald Paul Hartman ll, Dustin Lee Hartman and grandsons Axl and Oz Hartman.
Donnie made lots of memories, had many stories to tell and made lifelong friendships along the way.
Donnie is survived by his sons Donnie and daughter in law Refat, Dustin and grandsons Axl and Oz, sisters and brothers in law Barbara and Brady Mitchell, Leann and Sam Clerici, and many nieces and nephews and countless friends all who will miss him dearly.
Donnie was pre-deceased by his parents, Lee and Georgina Hartman.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday April 5, 1:00 pm at Kennedy Park, Mulberry 2 picnic area, Streblow Drive, Napa.
