David James Ruiz, 48 years of age, tragically passed away due to a motorcycle accident on March 7th, 2021. He was a very strong man that fought a good fight till the very end. David is survived by his father Juvenicio “Shorty” Ruiz and his 5 children; daughter, Dionna Ruiz, and his sons, David Ruiz Jr, Davon Ruiz, Nicholas Ruiz, Journey Ruiz,. David has 2 granddaughters, Vionna and Nyla and a grandson on the way, Dionn. David also is survived by 4 siblings; his sister Christela Ruiz-Bustamante and brothers Ricardo Ruiz (wife Bridgette), Anthony “Tony” Lueras, & Victor Lueras. David had 15 Nephews and Nieces; Lidia, Maria, Daniel, Ricky, Angel, Ruben, Angelica, Victor Jr, Roman, Elenna, Victoria, Marcello, Nicco, Liliana, Santiago and 16 great Nephew and Nieces.
David was born on August 15, 1972 in Napa, California to Juvencio “Shorty” & Rosemary Ruiz. He grew up in Vallejo, CA where he attended Cooper Elementary, Loma Vista Middle School, and Peoples High School. David was outgoing, funny, and loving. He had a passion for cars, His goal was to finish working on his Impala and he loved riding his motorcycle, He loved bikes since he was a kid. David loved to go on a drive just to cruise around town. He could just drive to Texas and back cruising playing his favorite UB40 song “Kingston town” over and over. David also enjoyed going to the casino’s and working out. David, loved to play handball he was the hand ball king he was very competitive, He didn’t think anyone can beat him always challenging who ever to play. David enjoyed working out doing pushups all day. He was also very competitive when it came to sports. when he would watch sports on tv, he would get so involved that it would make everyone laugh. He was family oriented, always wanting everyone to be together. He would say, “the more of us, the funnier it will be”. He wanted to take everyone in multiple cars whenever he would be going to an event. He would say, “shit, everyone come.” (those were his words) He loved his kids more than anything. He loved taking his family to the park and play catch and camping at his favorite lake, Kangaroo Lake. They could call him for anything, and he will be there to help. David had a big heart, contagious laugh and a big Kool-Aid smile. He was loved by so many friends and family and will be dearly missed so very much.
