Darrell Bressler

Darrell Bressler, 77, died peacefully in his home on November 16, 2021. There will be a private service held at Tulocay Funeral Home on December 2, 2021. A reception will follow at the Greendoor bar from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Darrell was born on June 23, 1944 in Compton, CA to Beulah and Garland Bressler.

In 1966, he started working with what was formerly called the California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection and is now Cal-Fire. He started as a firefighter, then promoted to Captain, and eventually became an Arson Investigator. He retired in July of 1995 as a Division Chief after 30 years of service.

After retirement, he purchased the Greendoor and owned and operated that until his time of death. In his spare time, he loved duck hunting with his dog.

He is survived by his siblings, Wesley, Celine, Georgetta, Allan, Kathy, Rita and Steve, and his children, Jimmy, Matt, and Jennifer, and his step-children, Rob and Jeff, and several grandchildren.
