Danny E Wooten

Danny E Wooten passed away peacefully at home on October 30 th, 2020 in Napa, California at the age of 73.

Danny was born on March 11 th , 1947 in Vallejo, California to Elwood “Jay” and Thad Wooten.

He graduated from Hogan High School, class of 1965.

He started an apprenticeship program at Mare Island in October of 1965. Eventually he became a Planner Estimator until the closure of Mare Island in October of 1995. He then worked for Transbay Steel as a Planner Estimator until he retired in 2011.

Dan Married Cheryl Rumble on February 20 th , 1971 and they had 4 children. He taught them what it meant to be a hard worker and to be involved with your family. He loved going to our sons and grandkids football games. He was so proud of all of his kids and grandkids.

Dan loved working on cars and racing them. He was in a car club called “The Berserk Brothers” and his nickname was Undertaker.

Dan is survived by his wife Cheryl of Napa. His kids Cori (Wayne) of Napa, John (Kay) of Sacramento, Jeremy (Noemi) of Napa, LaDean (Brian) Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and Terry of
San Francisco. His grandkids Daniel, Kari, Kaitland, Jay Jr., Shawn, Trent, Jayden, Maya, Camila, Taji, Zanya, and Great Grandson Dean. And his two brothers Doug and Dennis.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jay and Thad Wooten of Vallejo and son Jay Wooten of Napa.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Queen of the Valley Hospital staff for their excellent care and patience during these hard times.
