On Friday, January 1, 2021, Casey Allen Farris, father, husband, brother and son; passed away at age 48. Casey was born March 17, 1972 in Napa where he resided his entire life. He is survived by his children, daughter Cameron and son Henry, his wife Heather, as well as his brother Todd and his parents Jim and Laurel. Casey had a great passion and thirst for knowledge; absorbing information from many academic subjects, current and historical topics, and both sides of any debated theory. He seemingly had an endless capacity to store and retrieve every minute detail on whatever subject he learned about. Casey loved the game of chess and continued to rank very high as he studied the game throughout his adult years. Casey loved music. He had always yearned to play an instrument; so he beamed with pride when upon giving his daughter a guitar, she taught herself to play. The joy and pride grew even stronger as his son was placed in Chamber Choir in his sophomore year at Napa High, the very choir he himself sang in 25 years earlier. Casey was a phenomenal storyteller. Whether it was stories from the Bible or memories from childhood, teen or adult years; he put you in the scene as if you were right there watching it take place. Casey’s quick wit and his sense of humor gave laughter to his loved ones and friends daily. You hardly ever saw it coming which made his humor that much more enjoyable. Casey was learning the art and skills of woodworking and like anything he focused on, he learned rapidly, making mistakes and learning from them instantly. He made some outdoor furniture for his parents along with a pergola he built together with his wife. He was making a model glider plane at the time of his passing. He was fascinated with flight. Casey had a deeply spiritual Christian faith that gave him comfort in life and most importantly, at the moment when his time to be with God had come to pass. Casey is greatly missed but memories of times he made us laugh, helped us learn, and gave us love, will live on in all of us. The Farris family would like to extend our great appreciation for all the support from friends , neighbors and family who have reached out upon hearing the news of Casey’s passing. We are so grateful to so many. Know that your kindness is what helps us pull through this terrible time. We would like to invite those who wish to join us at Casey’s burial service; we only ask that you are mindful of CDC guidelines to keep yourself and all who attend safe. We will have a celebration of life and burial ceremony at the burial plot, followed by a reception for refreshments right across the property in the backyard of his family home. The burial ceremony will be at Tulocay Cemetery, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 1pm. Please come to the very back of the cemetery property as his burial site is next to the back of his family’s property. Reception to immediately follow at: 415 Montecito Blvd, Napa Please come through the side entrance that leads to the backyard. We will all share our best stories of our beloved Casey as I know there are plenty to tell. Let’s please be mindful of pandemic guidelines as I know Casey would not want illness to follow a celebration of his life. Thank you. RIP Casey Allen Farris.
