Carol Solon passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 22, at her home in Napa. Carol fought a courageous battle against early onset dementia for 13 years. She was 69 years old.
Born on February 1, 1952 in Oakland, Ca to Ephriam and Anne Chavez. Carol grew up in San Jose and met her husband Tom Solon in 1969. They married on June 26, 1971. 2021 marks their 50th wedding anniversary. Together they raised two sons, Scott and David. Carol and Tom moved to Napa in 1989, where Carol worked in the wine industry for 20 years.
Carol enjoyed camping with her husband and sons during their adolescent years. The family enjoyed many camping and boating trips to Tahoe and Lake Berryessa. Carol also enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Mexico, Europe and Jamaica with good friends. She was a big fan of music and spent many long weekends enjoying Blues and Jazz festivals. She also loved to sing. Her family and friends were able to enjoy her voice on many occasions.
Carol is survived by her husband Tom, sons Scott and David (Danyel), parents Ephriam and Anne, brothers Steve (Dana) and Craig, sister Julie (Duane), sister in law Holly, 6 grandson's, 1 great grand daughter and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Carol will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.
Due to Covid, a celebration of life will be planned for the near future.
