Longtime Napa Valley resident, Carol L. Accettola, passed away at 73 years, on January 14, 2025. She was born in Pullman, Washington as Carol Louise Lewis. Her family moved to Madras, Oregon and later Chico, California where she graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 1969. At Butte Community College, she earned an Associate's Degree. She resided in Calistoga, St. Helena, Lake Berryessa Highlands and lastly, Napa.
Carol began her 32 year Respiratory Therapist career at Yountville Veterans Home in 1987. She transferred in 1991 to Napa State Hospital and worked there until her retirement in 2020.
Her husband, John Accettola, predeceased her. Survivors include her son, Chris Lewis (Julie), her sister, Connie Lewis-Coffin (Tom), her stepson, Joseph Accettola (Lisa), her stepdaughter, Bonnie Sears (Marshall), grandchildren, James and Zoe Lewis, step-grandchildren Ethan McNeeland (Abby), Natasha Lucas and Santina Accettola; as well as many nephews and nieces.
A private graveside dedication will take place at Tulocay Cemetery.
