Brianna Christine Nunley

Brianna Christine Nunley was a loyal daughter, sister, and friend. She passed on unexpectedly in Napa, CA, on January 6, 2023, three weeks after her 40th birthday.

Brianna, who also went by Brie, was born to Brian and Nancy Nunley at Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, CA, on December 16, 1982. As a child, Brianna enjoyed playing sports and hanging out with her cousins.

After attending Northwood Elementary, Redwood Middle School, and Vintage High School in Napa, Brianna worked ten years at a local Safeway as a Journeyman Food Clerk. She then was a Sales Analysis Associate for The Perfect Puree of Napa Valley for three years and enjoyed traveling to several U.S. states for work. In 2017, Brie graduated from the North Bay Trades Introduction Program, learning the basics of construction math, drafting, and drawing. Since 2018, she has worked as an Account Manager at Sander, Jacobs, Cassayre Insurance Services.

Brianna had a rotating collection of hobbies: from cooking to music. She loved the holiday season, during which she put everyone else's gifts to shame with her expertly-curated stockings and, in more recent years, spoiling everyone with the homemade beef jerky she learned to make from her Aunt Beth.

Brie loved everything about sports, even naming the family dog, D-Rod, after Dennis Rodman. She had recently revived her childhood hobby of collecting trading cards. But, mostly, Brie was a lifelong loyalist of the Bay Area's San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Golden State Warriors. She was unwavering in her belief that Barry Bonds deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, and is undoubtedly bummed she'll miss seeing how the rest of the Niners' season plays out.

However, Brianna's favorite thing to do was spend time with her disabled younger sister, Michelle. The two had a special bond that grew even stronger in recent years as Brianna helped care for Michelle. Most recently, the two loved keeping up with the latest movies and television shows together.

An admired quality about Brianna, perhaps the most notable aspect about her observed by all who were fortunate to know her, was her generous heart. Brie was a loyal and devoted friend, ready to help if you were in need.

Brianna is survived by her parents, Brian and Nancy Nunley; and her sister: Kim (April) and Michelle. She loved her family very much. She will be missed dearly by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., January 28, 2023, at CrossWalk Community Church in Napa. Because our Brianna was such an avid sports fan, please feel free to wear your favorite team jersey.
