Betty Lou Slinsen was born in Napa at Parks Victory Memorial Hospital on January 16, 1936. She was raised in Napa, went to Soda Canyon elementary school, and graduated from Napa High in 1953, she was president of the senior class. She married Ken Tronstad in 1955, they had two daughters, KT Waxman (Steve) and Karin Kyle (Damian), four granddaughters Tyler, Morgan, Ashley, and Samantha, and six great-grandchildren, Harrison, Vanessa, Tara, Aimae, Olive, Meyer, and one more on the way. Her family was her life and Napa her home.
Betty was active in the community; she was president of the Napa High Alumni for three years and headed up the 100-year Reunion for Napa High in 1997. She and Ken loved to take the family on vacations, they cruised the Baltic Sea visiting several countries. Israel (Jerusalem), Paris, London, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Alaska, Mexico, Hawaii, and Canada.
Betty was a loyal friend, loving wife, mom grandmother and great grandmother and she knew she was loved.
Betty died peacefully at home with her daughters by her side, on June 27th at age 87. She was predeceased by her husband Ken and is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
