Bernice I Pacchetti

Bernice I Pacchetti was born Oct 5, 1929 in Monterey California, and was married to William (Bill) Pacchetti, who preceded her in death in 1999. She passed away peacefully on October 9, 2022 at the age of 93. Bernice has two sisters, Ann and Shirley, and her brother Bill (deceased). She is survived by her four children, Brian, Matthew, Olive, and Patrick and her grandchildren Diana Turner, Erik Pacchetti, Jordan Pacchetti, and Anna Pacchetti as well as great-grandchildren Nevaeh, Leon, Brenden and Levi. Bernice was kind and gracious, thoughtful and generous, while at the same time being strong and not above standing her ground for what was true and right. She was proud to be a mother and poured her life and love into her children and grandchildren, being there for all of them no matter what the problem. She loved celebrating life with the family surrounding her, whether with bar-b-ques or a big turkey dinners and made everyone who came to visit feel at home. Besides being a homemaker and loving wife to Bill, she worked for the JC Penny company for many years in their accounting department. At the age of 40 she discovered China painting and soon became a distinguished artist. Her beautiful pieces can be found all over Napa and beyond. Those who are privileged to have some of her work truly treasure them. She enjoyed travelling all over the world with Bill but was always glad to be back home. In later years, Bernice added Golf to her hobbies and enjoyed many a round right here in Napa with her dear friends. She stayed active and was a voracious reader. She attended church in Yountville and sang in the choir there. Of all her character qualities her perseverance is most noteworthy. We saw our mother go through many difficult and painful seasons in her life and never utter a bitter word. We hope to emulate her in our own lives, even if only in some small way, and so to make her proud. Funeral services will be held at Tulocay Funeral Home on Oct 21,2022, with a graveside service beginning at 10:30 am, followed by the Chapel Service at 11:00 am. There will be refreshments afterwards and a time to gather with friends and family.
