Barbara Lee Kreider passed away quietly near family, on January 4, after 94 years of spreading smiles to all those she knew.
Born in the late 20s, Barbara and her family moved from Minneapolis and settled in Long Beach, CA, when she was very young. In addition to school and church early life included visiting the beach steps away from the home and looking after her younger brother while the family operated a small cafe named after her.
Barbara was married to Pete Kreider for over 60 years and the couple raised two children in Southern California where Pete worked in aviation//defense and Barbara in early childhood development.
Retiring to Northern California in the 1980s the couple shared many enjoyable days and gorgeous sunsets from their Napa home. Barbara had a range of interests including traveling, volunteering, crafting, and reading several romance novels at the same time. She was an active member and leader of Napa social clubs and a supporter of the Napa County Library and Friends of the Library.
She is survived by her brother, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
As you take in the next beautiful sunset let your gaze linger longer like the enduring smile of Barbara Lee Kreider.
