Barbara M. Johns passed away on November 4th, 2023, surrounded by her
loved ones. Barbara was born in Chicago, Illinois. While in Chicago Barbara met her
first husband in high school and she married after graduation. They had three lovely
children. In 1981 her family moved to Napa Ca where she continued to raise her three
children. In 1988 Barbara married Ken Johns and the two were married 35 loving
years.
There are many things that Barabara loved in this world, but the things that
will be remembered the most by her family are her love for Disneyland, the beach
and sewing. Throughout her life Barbara has instilled her love for Mickey Mouse,
Disneyland and it’s magic to all of her family members. Barbara loved taking drives
with her husband to the beach to enjoy the sand on her feet and the food by the
coast. Barbara was an excellent crafter, she handmade many items in her life and
loved the process of creating. She was a member of the Napa and Vallejo Quilting
Guild, where she spent much of her time perfecting her craft with friends.
Barbara is survived by her immediate family, her husband Ken Johns, her two
daughters Mary McGreal and Patti McGreal (Marc Renspurger II), daughter in law
Stacie McGreal, her four grandchildren that she loved and adored: Tommy McGreal,
Amanda McGreal, Marc Renspurger III (Brianna Renspurger) and Lily Renspurger.
She was blessed with a great-grandson, Ryder Renspurger, who she was beyond
excited to welcome into her family. As she crossed to the other side she we are sure
was greeted by those that predeceased her in death; her parents Karl & Maxine Raff,
her sister Kay Nowakowski (Bob Nowakowski), her son Timothy McGreal (Stacie
McGreal) and her former husband Patrick McGreal (Gay McGreal).
“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
