Anita Ruth Bell passed away on Wednesday, September14, 2022 in Fairfield, California. She was 83.
Anita was born on January 8, 1939, in Los Angeles, California to Willie and Daisy Sharp. After graduating from high school, she and her husband moved to Napa, California where she raised her three children, Michael, Daniel and Robin. In the late 1970s, Anita returned to Southern California to work for Lockheed Martin as a Silk Screen Graphics Technician. Anita and her husband Sam volunteered for many years at the Hollygrove Orphanage in Los Angeles. When Anita retired from Lockheed in 2003, she and Sam moved to their dream home in the forests of Nevada City. After Sam passed in 2006, Anita returned to Napa and later settled in Fairfield to be closer to family. Anita was a gifted artist who loved to paint. She also enjoyed hunting for treasures in thrift stores and at yard sales. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Anita is survived by son Michael Dixon and daughter-in-law Linda Ordonio-Dixon of Benicia; son Daniel Dixon of Yuba City; daughter Robin Dixon of Fairfield; grandchildren Matthew, Spencer and Madison; great-granddaughter Kamryn; brother David Borgie and sister-in-law Catherine Powers of Clinton, Tennessee and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Bell and grandson Christopher Kiser.
