Allen Wong, age 92 of Napa, California, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. He was born on February 10, 1934 to parents Tom and Lily (Ko) Wong of Napa.
In year 1955 he and wife Paula (Yin) were married in Carmel, CA. They went on to have two sons, Bryan (Sacramento) and Marty (Napa and Cabo San Lucas). Together he taught them fishing and hunting besides many other lifelong skills enjoying family vacations to Lake Tahoe, Lake Almanor, Flaming Gorge.
Allen went to work for the County of Napa on September 24, 1961 as Communications Chief and retired after 34 years on September 24, 1995. He oversaw all radio and emergency networking between all County departments including sheriff, Courthouse, volunteer fire departments where he made many friends. He joined Northern California Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (NAPCO) serving as chapter president in 1972.
Allen enjoyed woodworking and was a skilled craftsman. His home is filled with furniture designed to custom fit each room. He was also known for his culinary expertise, preparing delicious meals for family and friends.
Allen was predeceased by brother Leonard (Betty), Eugene (Margo), and sister Elaine Hom. He is survived by wife Paula, sons Bryan (Janis) and Marty, sisters Evelyn Wong, Beatrice Ong, and Jaqueline Fong, brother Ron Wong, grandson Daniel (Rachelle), grandson Eric Wong (Cindy), great grandaughter Natalie Wong, great grandson Philip Wong, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Allen will be honored privately with a family celebration of life. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to charitable organization of donor's choice.
