Rogelio "Roger" Mendez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rogelio Garcia Mendez, born 6 June 1952 in St. Helena, California, as a result of lymphoma on 6 January 2019 at the age of 66. Roger will live on in the memory of his wife, Linda Mendez; son, daughter - Gary, Sylvia, and grandchildren - Tyrique and Anigha Collins; as well as his father Guadalupe Mendez; and siblings Berta Guzman-Wetter (husband Wally), Rose Mendez, Alfredo, Graciela DeHaro (husband Rogelio), Guadalupe and Enrique (wife Debra). He was also loved by his nieces and nephews.

Roger was an outdoors man and loved to be hunting, fishing and enjoying life. To his friends, he was someone that was always there and willing to help. And most would say that he never let a need go unmet.

There will be a memorial service held on 19 January 2019, 11:00 AM, at Tulocay Funeral Home, 411 Coombsville Road, Napa CA 94559. There will be a reception to follow from 12:00 – 3:00 PM.
