Paul Raymond Anderson

1937—2018

Paul Raymond Anderson was born in Minnesota on December 5th, 1937 to Albert and Mildred Anderson. Paul passed away suddenly in the early morning of June 7th from natural causes. He was 80 years old.

Paul meet his first wife, Wilma Lee, while attending Life Bible College in Los Angeles, Ca. They married on July 13, 1957 and had three children: Jonathan Paul, Peter Jeffrey and Andrea Michelle. They settled in Napa, Ca in 1968, where Paul was the Pastor of the Four Square Gospel Church on Wise Drive. To be able to support the family after Wilma became ill, Paul began his career as a bus driver for Golden Gate Transit. Wilma passed away in 1987 after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. In Wilma’s honor, Paul and his children did several bicycle ride fundraiser’s to support MS.

Paul met his current wife, Jean in 1991. Paul and Jean’s relationship grew quickly and they married on June 14th, 1992. Together, they set roots in Yountville, Ca and spent their time dancing, enjoying the outdoors while camping, boating and Paul on his waterskis. Paul was an active member in his community which included his membership with the Kiwanis and volunteering wherever he could help. However, Paul’s greatest passion was spreading the good news of the Gospel to whoever he could reach. This was often celebrated through his love of music and singing his favorite hymn ‘Great is Thy Faithfulness’. Most will remember receiving a card from Paul as he always remembered birthdays, anniversaries and special celebrations.

Paul is survived by his wife, three children, three stepchildren, thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He will be missed greatly by all that knew him. A Memorial Service is being held on Saturday, June 23rd at 1:00pm at the Four Square Gospel Church located at 1906 Wise Drive, Napa, CA.
