Morton Roach

Our dad went home on November 14th 2017 to be with our mom and brother Tommy, He was born on January 24, 1924 in southern California to Mort and Alice Roach. Around the age of 6 his family moved to San Francisco during the depression. Dad delivered papers on a bike up and down the steep streets to help supplement the family income.

He and our mom Eileen in March of 1948, got married in beautiful old St. Mary’s church in San Francisco. They had four children Eileen Jenny Tommy and Jerry. Tommy predeceased Mom and Dad in January 2009. Dad was a proud Grandpa of Ben and Michael (Eileen) Angelina and Teresa (Jennifer) Lindsay and Mark (Jerry). He was great grandpa to Brynlee, Rue, Messina Jamison and Rainbow.

Dad graduated from Lowell High School in San Francisco. He received a Congressional Appointment to the Merchant Marine Academy in New York graduating with an Engineering Degree. H worked as an Engineer for over 30 years. He was a very intelligent man wearing many hats. He taught at the University of San Francisco for over 20 years teaching speech. He was also a Real Estate Broker and held a General Contractor’s License.

He lived in Napa over 40 years and was active in local Catholic Churches and Charities. Dad was kind and compassionate and taught us the real meaning of Charity-To help those who are less fortunate then us. He will be missed by his children, grand children, great grand children and his many many friends over the years. We love you Dad.

A private funeral mass and burial will be held.
