1951-2018
Michael Dean Kimlinger, 66, passed away April 22, 2018 with loving family and friends by his side.
Born at the Sanitarium in St. Helena on May 21, 1951. He loved life and living it spontaneously until his passing. Most who knew him thought of him as a friendly helpful guy with a great sense of humor.
Michael was a lifelong native to this valley, serving many local residents with his various employment. As an electrical contractor in business for himself aka Electrics. Napa Valley Hot Tubs, Golden Haven Hot Springs, Dan William Electric and various other jobs throughout his life. He also served 10 years in the U.S. Navy before his honorable discharged as “Sailor of the Quarter”.
Interests include food, cooking, gardening, friends, watching good movies, fishing, his pet dog, repairing odds and ends around the house and playing slots at the casinos. He was full of knowledge and always willing to lend his help to others.
He is predeceased by his mother Betty J. Kimlinger, father Werner J. Kimlinger, brother Dennis H. Joens.
He is survived by his cousin Dan William of Calistoga and cousin Kathy Dupont of Washington state. Including three nieces, Tanya, Denise, and Christine all of the western region, and his pet dog Luna of Napa.
He was a dear friend and long-time companion who will be missed.
A service is scheduled this Friday, May 11, 2018 at the St. Helena cemetery at 1:00pm, with Father Talcott presiding.
