Welcome to the memorial page for

Marion Enna Splendid

October 19, 1921 ~ November 26, 2017 (age 96) 96 Years Old

Marion Enna Splendid, beloved wife of James Splendid, joined her husband in heaven on Thursday, October 26, 2017.

Marion was born to Lionel Elwood Webster and Adele Bacigalupi Webster in San Francisco, where she met her future husband Jim riding horses in the hills above the Cow Palace. They shared the same life-long interests and love of the outdoors, and were married in 1948. Marion graduated Balboa High School and then graduated business college at Cogswell College, in San Francisco. She worked during her career as a secretary at Southern Pacific Railroad before moving to Napa in 1961 to raise their children and help her husband with the family businesses, Splendid Kennels and Splendid Game Bird Club. She resided in Napa Valley for 57 years.

Marion is pre-deceased by her husband James Splendid, and survived by her two daughters, Lynn Splendid Light and husband Clayton Light, and Lisa Splendid Jacklich and husband Jeff Jacklich. She is also survived by her four precious grandchildren, Ashley Michaels-Lemhour, Rory Light, Gianna Light, and Cooper Jacklich, and one great grandchild, Remi James Lemhour.

She loved being surrounded by family and was selfless when it came to anyone who needed help. She had a quiet strength, always putting others first, giving to those in need without any desire for recognition and was loved by all who were so fortunate to know her. She loved big-band music, setting a table for friends and family, lapidary, nature, and caring for her husband and girls. She was a wonderful mother to her daughters as well as their friends who came through the door. She never lost her quick wit, even in her later years. She was truly a beautiful soul.

Marion took her last breath and left this world peacefully Thursday afternoon, just a few hours after arriving at the Queen of the Valley Hospital - holding hands with her two daughters, and family at her bedside.

She leaves behind numerous loving relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends. There will be a graveside service at the Tulocay Cemetery, on November 11 at noon, followed by a celebration of life at the family residence.

Words of sympathy may be sent to the family on-line at www.tulocaycemetery.org
