Lorene F. Willeford died peacefully in Sacramento, CA on June 17, 2018 at the age of 100 years. Lorene was born in Proctor, Arkansas on April 21, 1918. She was the eldest of ten children and family was very important to her. She lived alone in Napa for forty years until a fall required her to move into an assisted living community in Sacramento, CA. She had numerous occupations over the course of her life. She worked on a cattle ranch, was a farmer, a lumberjack, a sales clerk, a realtor, a Vice President of a plastic product corporation, an electronics assembler and all that while being a great mother and Grandmother. Lorene liked to travel and she visited several foreign countries. One of the great loves of her life was music. She wrote hundreds of songs with words and music, and what is so amazing is she could not read sheet music and she did not play any musical instrument. In her seventies she produced six CD albums of her songs and she was the solo artist on all of the CDs. Lorene is survived by her two sisters Floetta Ptomey and Geraldine Garetto, both of Napa, CA. She is also survived by two sons Danny Willeford of Pleasant grove, CA and David Willeford of Cumberland City, TN, along with six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. On Tuesday June 26, 2018 there will be a viewing from 11:00AM until 1:00PM The viewing will be followed by the funeral at 1:00PM at the Tulocay Funeral Home, 411 Coombsville Road, Napa CA 94559.
