There he played 3 or 4 days a week with his many golf buddies. He made three hole in one's and also achieved Club Champion status one year. He managed his best low handicap of 8 which he only maintained for a month!
In 1977, his wife Donna began a 20 year career as a travel agent. Together they enjoyed extensive travels around the world visiting 54 countries, most trips lasting 3 to 4 weeks. They traveled to all the continents except Antarctica. One of Jack's favorite journey's was four weeks in Africa including safari in Kenya and in South Africa, a two day experience on the luxury Blue Train equal or superior to the Orient Express of Europe, which was traveled as well.
Along with travel and golf, his other hobby was gardening, especially his vegetables which he shared with neighbors and friends. How many zucchini recipes are there? This gave him much pleasure.
