Geraldine Hefner

Geraldine Hefner, 91,  entered into rest on July 12, 2017 in Napa, California. She was born on

February 8, 1926 in Newton, Kansas. Geraldine graduated from Napa High School in 1944.

 At the age of 17, Geraldine met her husband, Tommy Lee Hefner in downtown Napa in 1943. They wrote to each other for 2 years while Tommy was proudly serving in the Navy during World War II. On September 29, 1946, Tommy returned back to Napa and they were married the next day on September 30, 1946. Their first son, William was born on July 12, 1947. Then came their daughter Marsha, and sons George and John.

During her life, she was a member of the Yountville Christian Community Church and worked at Queen of the Valley Hospital. She will be greatly missed by her family and her friends.

Mrs. Hefner was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tommy who died in 1985; her brother, Melvin Wiebe; her sons, John, William and George; her grandson, Joshua Hefner.

She is survived by her one daughter Marsha Ann Taylor and son-in-law Richard;  5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Patricia Evans and Claudia Perez, whom she loved and treated as her own. 

A Service will be held in her honor at Yountville Community Church on Monday, July 17th at 10:00 a.m. followed with a Reception at the Church. The family will conclude with the burial at Tulocay Cemetery, 411 Coombsville Road, Napa at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
