1927—2018
Frank Reichstein passed away on June 28, 2018 in the home he built and lived in for almost 70 years. He was born on April 4,1927 in Carson, Iowa. He married Giuliana Giannetti in Italy on October 15, 1947 where he was stationed in the army and where Giuliana was raised. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary last year.
The love of his life, Giuliana, and he raised their three children in this very loving home. He was a kind and gentle man and was a very hard working and dedicated family man. Three children could not have had a better father. We were truly blessed to have this man to call our “Dad”.
He leaves behind his loving and dedicated wife Giuliana, his son Lonnie (Cathie) Reichstein, his daughters Cindy Snead and Anita Leighty. He was blessed with grandchildren Brenda (Matt) Bardasian, Frank (Sheri) Reichstein, Julie (Bryan) Erckenbrack, JD (Monica) Snead, Jason (Andrea) Leighty and Juston (Brenda) Leighty. He also leaves behind 14 great grandchildren all who loved him greatly and fondly called him Nonno and one great-great granddaughter.
He was predeceased by his sons in-law Jim Snead and Brian Leighty. I am sure they greeted him with open arms.
A special thanks to Norma Bush who helped care for him the last few years and became part of the family. Thank you Dr James Qui whose special care allowed us to have him longer and to Kaiser hospice for taking such good care of his needs these last few months.
Enough can not be said about this wonderful man. His family will carry on his legacy of “love of family”. Never to be forgotten and forever loved!
