Doral Jean Fisher

1928—2018

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Doral Jean Fisher announces her passing on May 7, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Doral Jean(Doe Doe as she was known to some family members)was born April 20, 1928 in Akron, Ohio. Her family moved to Napa in 1941. After graduating from Napa High School she attended Napa Junior College. While at Napa Jr. College she met the love of her life Dale Fisher and they were married in June of 1948. They moved to San Jose while Dale completed college, started a family having a son Randy. They moved back to Napa and had a second son, Ron. Doral Jean was active in the Faculty Wives group supporting many philanthropic efforts, participated in bowling leagues, enjoyed her bridge club and spent many nights putting together game programs for Napa High School football and basketball games along with volunteering many hours in the snack bar at these games. In 1982, Doral Jean was blessed with a new role: Grandma with her first grandson, Connor. In 1984, her role expanded with her second grandchild, Kaitlin, and boy did she love her grandchildren. She was a wonderful grandmother. After her husband Dale retired they enjoyed their extensive travels around the world.

We will remember Doral Jean for her devotion to family, extended family and friends; her humor; her honesty and her big heart.

Doral Jean lived such a long rich life, she is preceded in death by her husband Dale Fisher, son Randy Fisher, and brother Duane Ricketts.

She is survived by her son Ron Fisher and angel daughter in law Judy Murray-Fisher, grandchildren Connor and Kaitlan, and sister Donna Mae Sims.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Collabria Care, Hospice in Napa.
