1942 – 2018
Neil Tiebout passed away on September 2, 2018 in Christiansburg, VA. Originally from East Williston, New York, Neil spent most of his adult life in Sacramento, California.
Neil spent 20 years in the Air Force as a Navigator and teacher and retired with the rank of Major after 20 years of service. He also retired from Alcatel Lucent after a very successful career in business sales. After his first wife, Marianne Tiebout, passed away, Neil moved to Napa, CA, to be closer to his son and grandsons and remarried to his high-school sweetheart in 2007. Neil was an avid photographer, technology ‘tinkerer’, and gardener.
Neil is survived by his wife, Claudia Tiebout; his daughter, Candi Emerson; son-in-law, Todd Emerson; son, Cory Tiebout; four grandsons (CJ Tiebout, Jack Emerson, Neil Emerson, and Cameron Tiebout); his wife’s children Alison Davitt and Jonathan Wainwright, and three granddaughters. All who knew him are welcome to join in the celebration of his life at 12pm on Saturday, November 3rd at the Tulocay Funeral Home in Napa, California. (tulocaycemetery.org). A reception will follow (same location). Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
