So sorry for your loss. I was a young wife and mother when Billie ruled - there is no other word to describe it - the Laura Ashley store at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek, about where Sephora is now. We were all a bit intimidated by her but also revered her for her excellent taste and decisive opinions. Everyone went to Billie. She was a taste-maker and expert who helped curate not only our home decor but our own personal style in clothing. What Billie created through her work with Laura Ashley has become part of the memories our own children carry forward of the homes they grew up in and their moms. We are grateful to her and mourn her passing. May she rest in peace.
