Ann M. Whitehair passed away on the early morning of March 14, 2018 with the comfort of her family. Ann succumbed to her long time illness while maintaining a superior outlook on life.
Ann was born in Anselmo, Nebraska in the farmhouse on the family farm. Ann always remembered her heritage and friends. At the age of 16 her family moved to Napa where they bought a pear orchard on Los Carneros Avenue. She graduated from high school at the age of 17. While in high school she worked at the Uptown Theater. She was hired by Bank of America straight out of high school; which is something she had great pride in throughout her life. She worked for the bank until retirement. She enjoyed bargains at estate sales and for many years had a small antique business.
Ann was always dedicated to her family and enjoyed all types of travel and was able to visit many exotic places with her husband.
Ann was pre-deceased by her mother Maxine Butterfield Ramacher, her father William ‘Ray’ Raymond Butterfield, her brother Garrett Butterfield, and a brother-in-law. She is survived by her husband Don, daughter Becky (Kyle) McAhren, grand-daughter Kyleigh McAhren, and her little brother Bill (Lillian) Butterfield. She is also survived by a step-son and his son. Ann is survived by her nieces and nephews who she dearly enjoyed.
Ann’s love and support and memorable laugh will be deeply missed. She will live in our hearts forever.
A memorial to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at Tulocay Cemetery in Napa Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. The memorial will be held at the Tulocay Reception Hall, followed by a graveside service, and concluding with a reception.
