I just found out yesterday and am still devastated that I missed Amy's service. I would have loved to seen you all and caught up on the last 30 years since I saw Amy.

When I think of all those years of swim meets. sleep overs, playing with Duck, watching Amy win every award known to man while eating pizza and salad in your tiny kitchen, I realize what a wonderful childhood we had and I'm am so grateful to be a small part of that.

Amy F was right, Amy had many groups of friends. Her beautiful smile and acceptance of everyone was just a small part of who she was. She had all of her athletic friends, but I might be the only one to remember she was a cheerleader in JR High. I remember practicing cheers with her in the driveway in views of that ole van Patty carted you girls all over Napa

Love to all of you, please contact me if you want to talk about how Awesome Amy was.

I'm so sorry to hear of Amy's passing. Although I had not seen Amy since high school graduation, I always remember how she made me feel.....accepted.

Thank you to your family for all the warm memories.

Dear Atkinson family,

I have good memories of being a friend and teammate of Amy! Some of those memories that stand out are when your family hosted an all nighter for us girls to prep for spirit week-your kitchen walls were covered, literally, with family photos and that was pretty impressive to me! I had never seen anything like it before our since!

Amy and Tracey Emberley and Liesl Rickerson and I went to a snow camp one winter and some boys attacked us with snowballs. I couldn't throw a snow ball and hit a target to save anybody... But Amy! She zinged those guys and even they were impressed with her arm!

I always thought Amy and Wendy Oswald wore the prettiest sweaters.

I remember the game against JustinSienna where Amy hurt her face and I heard that it was her braces that saved her teeth from falling out! That was scary!

During a key playoff volleyball game against Vacaville I experienced a slow motion save - It was like a movie...I think a crazy ball came over the net after being partially blocked and I was able to get to it but I was facing the back of the court. I looked up and to my great relief saw Amy looking right at me - facing me from the back row. Perfect positioning and timing! I bumped it to her and she got it back over the net no problem- Yay Amy! We won of course😊!

I am glad I got to experience Jr and Sr High school with Amy-they were really good years!

I'm so sorry your family and hers have to experience such heart ache presently. I do hope you all are comforted during this time, especially with the memories that are shared in celebrating her life!
