Alice Earlene (Hardcastle) Edenfield

Alice Earlene Hardcastle Edenfield, age 74, of Napa, California, passed away on July 8, 2017.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 21, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Napa Women’s Club, 218 Franklin St. in downtown Napa.

Alice Earlene Edenfield, known as Earlene to her friends and family, was born in Escondido, California on April 26, 1943. She graduated from Pacific Union College Preparatory School, in Angwin California.

Earlene was married to John Edenfield on October 21, 1967. They were married 51 years.

Earlene worked as a Garden Associate for 16 years at the Napa Walmart. Working at Walmart gave great joy to her life. A special thank you to all of her co-workers that she dearly loved.

Earlene enjoyed working in the Garden Center, spending time with family and visiting the beach. She also had a great love of books.

Earlene is survived by her son Michael Kennedy and Betsy Caves Stewart, son Timothy and Lisa Kennedy, daughter Kathryn and Scott Peebles, grandchildren Christina Gonzalez and Rick Flores, Joseph Gonzalez, Zachary and Nicole Peebles, Jennifer Peebles, Allison Kennedy and Sam Waldo, Brendon Kennedy, great grandchildren Michaela and Emily Flores, Johnathan Peebles, Alexander Luna, her brother Bob and Lucy Hardcastle.

Earlene is proceeded in death by her father Harvey Hardcastle, mother Helen Hardcastle, her husband John Edenfield and grandson Anthony Kennedy.

In lieu of flowers, Earlene asked that memorial donations be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital Charity fund.
