1935—2018
Abran Correa Lopez passed away peacefully Tuesday night from cancer in his home of over 50 years with his family by his side. Abe (Abran) was born on June 6, 1935 in Tempe, Arizona to Francisco and Maria Lopez.
After meeting Rebecca Luna at a local dance, he fell in love instantly and they married on June 11, 1955. They had 6 children and in 1956 they moved to the Napa Valley. Although they loved the beauty of Napa they missed their family in Madera and would drive home every weekend to visit. Abe loved baseball and football. Anytime you would spot him he was wearing a Giants jacket or Forty Niners jacket or hat. He also enjoyed singing and dancing and the outdoors. His family would take a yearly trip to Burney Falls where he loved to fish.
He worked for the City of Napa as a park gardener for over 30 years. He is survived by his son Frank (Jessica), Abe (Mary), Grace (Delton), Martha (Fernando), Francisca (Steve), Christina (Matthew). He was predeceased by his wife Rebecca Lopez, granddaughter Rebecca and grandson Germaine. He also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
