Watt Wood

Watt O. Wood, 84, passed away April 7, 2017 in Napa, California. He was born August 20, 1932 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to Roy and Sally Wood. His family moved to Napa when he was a young child. He attended Napa High and Napa Junior College graduating in 1955. After high school, Watt joined the US Army and served in the Korean war. Upon returning, he worked as a Building Contractor, building 33 custom homes in the Napa area and then went to work as a crane operator at Mare Island, where he later retired.

Watt is survived by his daughters, Joanne (Ernie) Ramirez, Cheryl Borgo, Suzanne (Wes) Carr, and Melissa Wood; as well as by 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Wood and Sally Roark Wood; and his brothers, Wayne Wood and Troy Gene Wood. He will forever be missed by his family and many friends.

 Watt’s wishes were to be scattered at sea. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you please send donations to Brookdale Assisted Living in Napa, CA or to a charity of your choice. 

Come To Me

God  saw you were getting tired,

And a cure was not to be. 

So He put His arms around you,

And whispered, "Come to me."

With tearful eyes we watched you,

And saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly,

We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands at rest. 

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

Ho only takes the best.
