Sharon Kay Azevedo

Sharon Kay Azevedo Sharon Kay Azevedo passed away peacefully October 27, 2017 at the age of 76. Sharon was born April 1, 1941 in Sisseton, South Dakota and moved to Fairfield, California in 1951 when her parents, Henry G. Bubak and Margreth E. Bubak, decided to sell their farm and head west. She graduated from Armijo High School in 1958 and attended cosmetology school, from which she would become a well-liked and respected beautician for many years to come.

Sharon married the love of her life, Ronald John Azevedo, in 1974. She would spend the next 43 years helping run the family cattle ranch where she enjoyed country living, horseback riding, and rounding up cattle for yearly brandings. She also loved travel and spending time in Chester, Ca at Lake Almanor, fishing, and golfing. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; her sister and brother in-law Shirley and Ralph Azevedo; brothers and sisters in-law Roger and Gale Bubak and Larry and Marion Bubak; sister in-law Diane (Azevedo) Carney; Godchildren (and niece and nephew) Dana and Brodie Azevedo; her most recent love, great-niece Reese Azevedo; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything and will be missed greatly. She will always be remembered as a person who remained strong through everything. The family will hold a private memorial service in her honor at a later date and ask that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
