Rennie (Tim) Allred

RENNIE ALLRED

1926-2015

Rennie (Tim) Claude Allred passed away September 1st surrounded by family.
He was born August 11th 1926 in Lawton, OK, to Armor and Ruby Allred. He was the third of four children. His two brothers, Jack and Wayne Hamilton and sister Betty Jo Allred. Tim moved to California as a teenager. Tim was drafted in the Army at the age of 18 during World War II.  He attended college in Chicago where he earned an Associates' Degree in electronics.

Tim married Doreen Thomas September 8, 1954, they lived in Las Vegas, NV where Tim worked for Lawrence Livermore Laboratories at the Nevada Test Site for 26 years as Executive Director of Operations. There they raised their two sons, Dennis and Richard.  On Tim's retirement, he and Doreen moved to Angwin, CA. During this time Tim and Doreen took in their 6 and 7 year old great nephews, Mike and Mark Dockter and loved them like their own.

He went to work for the College Market in Angwin where he really enjoyed the job and people he met.  His hobbies included singing for the St Helena 7th Day Adventist Men's Choir, as well as softball, electronics, mechanics and being a handyman.  He spent many hours working in his workshop.

Tim is survived by his wife, Doreen, sons, Richard Allred (Gail) of Spring Hill, TN, Mike Dockter (Jessica) and Mark Dockter, Daughter-in-law, Susan Knight of Fortuna, CA; grandchildren, Jayne Howard, Tim Knight, Craig Allred, Abbie, Zak and Becca Dockter.  He was predeceased by his son Dennis Knight, his parents and siblings.

A service will be held to honor Tim on Weds, September 9th at 11:30 AM at
Sacramento Valley National Cemetary in Dixon, CA.  Words do sympathy may be sent to the family on-line at WWW.TULOCAYCEMETERY.ORG.
