1934—2018
Patty Ann (Jennings) Hendrickson left this world peacefully on 4/4/18. Patty will forever be remembered as a loving mother, an amazing grandmother and someone who loved to laugh and joke with friends and family.
Born in July 1934 in Silver City, Iowa, to parents Elmer & Mabel Jennings, Patty was the youngest of 5 children. Later, the family relocated to the Napa Valley where they established deep roots. While Patty lived in many different places in the Bay Area, Napa always remained her “home”, and Atlas Peak was one of her favorite places in the world. She graduated from St. Helena High School in 1951, and went on to raise a family and have a successful career with Hewlett-Packard.
Her absolute favorite pastime was watching baseball, whether it was the Joe DiMaggio League at the Yountville Veterans Home or one of her grandchildren’s games. She was always one of the most boisterous fans in the audience, and she rarely missed an opportunity to go watch a baseball game. Known affectionately to her family as “Mom” or “Grandma Pattycakes”, Patty also loved spending the holidays with her family, especially Easter and Christmas Eve. Patty was fiercely loyal to her family and a fiery woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Patty is preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters, 1 brother and a grandson, and she is survived by 1 sister (Carol Lyons), all 5 of her children (Nancy Littmann, Linda Terwilliger, Jim Terwilliger, Debbie Sward, Amy Mulata), 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Tulocay Cemetery on Saturday, May 5th, at 1:00pm.
