Mary Priscilla Dillon

Mary Priscilla Dillon went to her final resting place on May 10, 2017.  She passed away peacefully at her home in Napa, CA, surrounded by her loving children and caregivers after bravely fighting her third battle with cancer.

Born April 9, 1938 in Washington D.C. to Rose and Eugene Montminy, emigrants from Canada; Priscilla attended Nativity Elementary School and St. Cecilia's High School in Washington D.C.  She was active in music, drama and enjoyed playing basketball. A talented singer, with a beautiful soprano's voice, Priscilla sang at weddings and other functions.  She married Ray Dillon in 1958 and had two children, Edd and Maureen.

Priscilla worked as a secretary in a patent office, the U.S. Navy Yard and for State Senator Steny Hoyer (D-Md).  After moving to Napa, CA with her children in 1975, she became a successful real estate agent and later an escrow officer.  She also worked as the School Secretary at Napa Junction Elementary, and later the Office of Special Education until her retirement.

Priscilla was a spirited woman with a kind soul.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and a tight-knit group of wonderful friends who will remember her for her kindness, wit and quick sense of humor.

She was a devoted fan to the SF Giants and the Golden State Warriors.  She and her son Edd rarely missing a game and she took pride in her ability to explain the subtleties and complexities of both sports!

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother Clarence.  She is survived by her children, Edd and Maureen; her loving grand-daughter, Taylor; as well as nieces and nephews from the Montminy, Dillon and Polzin Families.

Services will be held at Tulocay Cemetery, in Napa, on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
