Marilyn Delores Fix

1925 - 2017

Marilyn Dolores Fix (Dee) passed away on December 16, 2017, in Napa, at the age of 92, and was a longtime resident of American Canyon. She was born on September 21, 1925 to Martin and Dorothy Hansen in Bismarck, North Dakota. She grew up in Glendive, Montana and moved to Los Angeles, CA after graduating from high school. On August 1, 1945 she married Harold Lincoln Fix and they were married 71 years until Harold passed away on June 22, 2017. She was a homemaker and was also employed at Mare Island Naval Shipyard. She enjoyed traveling with Harold and traveled to every state in the United States. She was faith filled, a good friend, good neighbor and always looked out for others. Marilyn loved spending time with family and was a loving wife and mother. Survivors include three children, Michael Fix (Cindy) of Napa, Robin Slusher of Napa, Gail George of Vacaville, six grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a brother, Glen Hansen (Joyce) of Bismarck, North Dakota. She was predeceased by her parents, two sons-in-law, and a great granddaughter. A funeral will be held on Saturday, January 13, at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1300 Tuolumne Street, Vallejo, of which she was a member since 1962. Burial will be at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA, on January 16th. Arrangements are entrusted to Tulocay Cemetery, Napa, CA. Memorial donations can be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Vallejo.
