MARIE RIVERS

1916-2015

Marie Rivers, 98, died peacefully August 13, 2015.  She was born October 19, 1916 in San Francisco to George and Mary Trapp.  After high school, she work for the State of California as an office manager.

She married Cecil "Pete" Rivers January 31, 1946.  Together they raised 2 sons, Ray and Don.  Marie loved to bake, play Bridge and was active in the Catholic Church, especially YLI; Young Ladies Institute.  She also belonged to the Faculty Wives organization.

She is survived by her sons, Ray Rivers and Don (Caryn) Rivers; grandchildren Peter Rivers, Jamie Chapman and Katie Breland, and 3 great grand sons.

Services are private and memorial contributions may be made to the Hanna Boys Center or the Wounded Warrior Project.  Memories and words of sympathy may be shared with the family on-line at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
