MARIA PARTIDA

1927-2015

Maria MadrigalPartida left us for the everlasting embrace of the Lord and the compassionate care of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Tuesday, March 10, 2015.  She was 87. 

Maria was born on 07-29-1927 in Penjamillo (Michoacán) Mexico.  She was married to Jesus Partida in La Piedad, Michoacán and together they immigrated to the United States and were among the very few early Mexican American families to reside in the Napa Valley. Together they had 9 beautiful children.

Throughout her life her passion was her love of family and her deep devotion to God, Maria enjoyed most spending time surrounded by her family.

Maria is survived by her loving husband of 70 years Jesus, her daughter’s Maria Gonzalez (Javier), Alice De Luna (Maximiliano), Carmen Outlaw (Larry), Lupe Partida, Rosa Contreras (Jorge), Graciela Partida, and son Ruben Partida.  Her son’s Jesse and Peter Partida preceded her in death. Her legacy lives on through her 7 children as well as her 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 

Mass will be said Tuesday, March 17 at 1pm at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Viewing will be from 1-7pm Monday, March 16 in the Tulocay Chapel.  The Rosary will  be prayed at 7pm.  Memories and words of sympathy may be shared with the family on-line at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
