Lynda Mary Carson

1962-2015

Born September 6th 1962 in San Francisco, CA, our beloved wife and mother passed away peacefully in her home with family at her side on November 16th, 2015. Lynda is survived by her husband of 29 years, Bill; their children, Ryan and Savannah; her mother Judie Doherty; her brother Gary Prioste and many more family members and kind-hearted friends.

Lynda was raised in Los Altos, CA, attended St Simon and St. Francis Catholic schools before moving on to Foothill College and graduating from Pepperdine University with an International Business degree in 1986.  After marrying her husband Bill in 1986, and settling in the Seattle area, she embraced a new community of dear friends and started her career in the high-tech industry with Microsoft. In 1999 Lynda’s family return to California and settled in Napa to raise their children. Over the last 20 years,she gave her life to raising Ryan and Savannah, volunteering her time at local schools, churches and organizations benefiting many great causes, and spending time enjoying her favorite pastimes -cooking, entertaining and running marathons.

Lynda was full of life and her faith and strength inspired so many.She was loving, kind, and always willing to lend a hand.  She always brought that special little something extra to whatever she touched. May we all strive to emulate her grace and kind of spirit.  Heaven has gained a beautiful soul!

The family wishes to thank Napa Hospice and those who faithfully helped with her care and the outpouring of love from family, dear friends and neighbors through prayers, home-cooked meals and visits. This made it possible for family to remain by her side as she peacefully left us.

Lynda, you left a special place of love in our hearts and you will be greatly missed.  Thank you for the directions of where to find you when we reunite with you one day.  We love you so very much.

In honor of Lynda’s memory, a Mass will be held at St. Apollinaris Catholic Church, 3700 Lassen Street, Napa, CA 94558, on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 11:00 am, presided by Fr. William Donahue. Immediately following the Mass, a reception for family and friends will be held in the hall at St. Apollinaris.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Napa Valley Hospice or Family Service of Napa Valley.  Memories and words of sympathy may be shared with the family on-line at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
