Linda Pratt

Linda Lee Pratt passed from this earth and entered heaven on July 4th, 2016, after a ferocious battle against cancer that spanned 20 plus years. She passed in her home surrounded by loved ones.  Linda was born in 1942 to Clarence and Genevieve Sather in Tacoma, Washington.  After marrying, she moved to northern California and called Napa Valley home for 46 years.  Linda worked for the University of California, at both Berkeley and San Francisco campuses, for 27 years before retiring to pursue volunteer work. Active in her church, business women’s associations, and community programs, Linda touched the lives of all that met her.  

Linda is survived by her sister Alma, daughter Charline, son Mark, son-in-law Mark, daughter-in-law Margaret, grandson Davis, granddaughter Emerson, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Vibrant and intelligent in her life she will be remembered as an avid sports fan, loving daughter, devoted mother, spectacular grandmother, caring sister, and amazing friend.  

A memorial service is planned for Friday July 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church of Napa located at 2659 First Street, Napa, California.  A reception will immediately follow at the church.  Internment at Tulocay Cemetery in Napa will occur at a later date.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Community Action of Napa Valley (Napa Valley Food Bank) or Church Women UnitedNapa, where Linda spent many volunteer hours.
