LESTER GIACCIO

1941-2016

Funny, supportive, hard working. These are some of the words that come to mind when describing our beloved Father and Grandfather, Lester Joseph "Jocko" Giaccio, who passed away August 18th, 2016. Born in Jersey City, NJ on July 17th, 1941 to Louis and Florence Giaccio, Jocko wore his Jersey roots proudly all his life. During his years in the Navy, he met his wife Donna (Roads). They were married in 1963 and settled in Napa, CA to raise their family. Jocko had a long career driving for Shell Oil Company, and collected memorabilia from the company that he was so proud to work for, as well as collectibles from his favorite science fiction shows. For years after his retirement he could often be found at one of his children's homes, fixing or improving things or celebrating milestones of the grandchildren he delighted in.

Jocko was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Florence Giaccio and his wife Donna. He is survived by his son Tony (Rhonda) Giaccio and his daughters Maria Giaccio and Lisa Giaccio, as well as his grandchildren, Kayla, Nicholas, Lindsey, and Carley. He was a constant presence in our lives, and we will miss terribly having him in ours.

A service to honor his life will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 12pm in the Tulocay Chapel with committal service to follow.  Memories and words of sympathy may be shared with the family on-line at www.tuylocaycemetery.org.
