Lauren Curry

On April 9, 2017 Lauren Mary Curry died in her family home in Napa, California at the age of 22.

She was born June 5, 1994 at Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa Valley. She attended St. Helena Preschool and Yountville Elementary until 2002 when she moved with her family to Orlando FL. There she attended 3rd and 4th grade at Palm Lake Elementary School. Lauren returned to Napa Valley with her family in 2004 and attended 5th grade at El Centro Elementary School, attended intermediate school at River School and went on to graduate from Vintage High School in 2012.

Lauren was witty, generous and fun loving. Lauren’s uplifting spirit brought encouragement to others. She enjoyed holidays with her family, time with her friends, the beach, crowding around the dinner table, The San Francisco Giants, sushi, coffee, and her two family dogs Sadie Lou and Bell-Z.

Lauren is survived by her parents Robert and Anne Curry of Napa. She was a best friend to her sister Sophia Curry of Napa, and loving brother Andrew Curry of Napa; grandmothers Eleanor Curry of Rancho Palos Verdes, and Joanne Simonsen of Torrance; Aunt Barbara Armstrong and cousin Wesley Armstrong of Escondido; Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Christian Simonsen of Trabuco Canyon, cousins Kristina Simonsen of Oakland, Ryan Simonsen, Jessica Simonsen and Michael Simonsen of Trabuco Canyon; Aunt Connie and Uncle Kevin Simonsen, cousins Samantha Simonsen and Ava Simonsen of San Diego; Aunt Lisa Simonsen and cousins Reese Simonsen and Quinn Simonsen of Charlotte.

She is predeceased by Grandfathers Robert Curry (4/29/87) of Rancho Palos Verdes and Laurence Simonsen (8/1/2011) of Torrance.

Memorial service will be held at Tulocay Cemetery Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 18, 2017. A reception will follow immediately after the service.
