JOHN FICKE

1945-2016

John Carlton Ficke, 71, passed on November 6, 2016.  He was born May 3, 1945 in Covington, Kentucky to Carlton and Evelyn Ficke.  John spent most of his childhood years in Cincinnati, Ohio then moved to Napa in 1974.  He enjoyed sports, fishing, landscaping, and cars.  John was a laid-back, quick to laugh guy with many friends and a family who loved him.

He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Teresa) Ficke of Napa, California, John (Alyssa) Ficke of El Dorado Hills, California, and Steve (Lisa) Ficke of Peach Tree City, Georgia; sisters, Carol Brown, Beverly Schmidt, and Mary Brooks all of Cincinnati, Ohio; granddaughters, Maddi & Evy Ficke of El Dorado Hills; granddaughter, Samantha Ficke and grandson, Wyatt Ficke of Kona, Hawaii; granddaughters Kate, Ella, and Paige Ficke of Peach Tree City, Georgia; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Evelyn Ficke; dad, Carlton Ficke; son, Tom Ficke; and sister, Joyce Warman.

A service to honor John's life will be held at Tulocay Cemetery on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11am.  Memories may be shared at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
