Welcome to the memorial page for

Jeffrey Alan Booth

January 21, 1952 ~ November 13, 2017 (age 65) 65 Years Old

Jeffrey Alan Booth was born January 21, 1952 in Long Beach, California to Clara “Susie” and George C. Booth. He died peacefully in the arms of his loving wife Nancy on November 13, 2017 in Napa, California.

The youngest child of six, Jeff grew up surrounded with siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was an adventurous child who loved nature and all living creatures. Jeff valued friendships and he nurtured them-maintaining numerous close friends throughout his life. Jeff was a well loved uncle who advised and encouraged his many nieces and nephews.

In 1973, Jeff met Nancy Louise Davis. Jeff and Nancy were married and spent many wonderful years together. Jeff graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz and received degrees in biology and earth science. While attending college, Jeff became interested in winemaking and began his career at Bargetto Winery.

Jeff was a winemaker in numerous wineries including Felton Empire, Pine Ridge, Robert Mondavi, Conn Creek, Paul Masson and Glen Ellen. Later in his career he was a successful wine consultant.

Jeff enjoyed life and lived it on his own terms. He was an excellent cook who relished the flavors of life. He was an extremely loving, protective, and loyal (fierce even) husband, brother, uncle and friend. Jeff was a great musician and a beautiful song writer who enjoyed imitating Elvis and Johnny Cash. He loved cheesy jokes and bad puns, much to the never ending amusement of those around him.

The remote desert was his favorite place, and he had an affinity for rattlesnakes. He was known for hijinks like sneaking into multiple concerts and venues when he was young. He hopped freight trains and traveled all over Mexico. He lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed.

There will be a celebration to honor Jeffrey on his birthday, January 21, 2018 at a location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your favorite charity.

Words of sympathy may be sent to the family on-line at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
