Jacquetta "Jack" Hoyle

Jacquetta Hoyle, 90, died on February 8, 2017 in Napa, CA. She was born in Grainola, Oklahoma on May 21, 1926. Jack came to California in 1940, after living in Texas and Kansas prior to settling in Napa with her parents, Opal and Moon Mullins; her two sisters, Twyla and Clotille; and her brother, Euthan.

She graduated from Napa High School in 1944, and completed some college.  She worked for a short time at Parks Victory Hospital, and then at Napa State Hospital as a psych tech, retiring from there after a long career.

She married Robert Hoyle on December 25, 1946.  They lived in Napa and were married 50 years before Bob passed away. Jack enjoyed playing cribbage and blackjack with her family at the regular family dinners at her parents' home, with her sisters and their families as well.

She and Bob did a lot of traveling together near and far, with many adventures in their truck and camper to local favorites along the California coast to Tomales and Bodega Bay.  They also traveled to the further reaches of Alaska, Canada, Seattle World’s Fair, Hawaii, Tahiti, and many hunting and fishing adventures with Bob to Wyoming and Colorado as well.  They traveled before and during their retirement years.  She also enjoyed golfing and gambling trips to Reno.

Jack is predeceased by her husband, Robert, of 50 years; her parents, Opal and Fay Mullins; her brother, Euthan Mullins; her sister, Twyla Dowdle; her niece, Susan Dowdle.

She is survived by her sister, Clotille (Warren) Brooks; her niece and nephews: Michael (Mary Ellen) Brooks, Joseph Brooks, Jon (Janie) Brooks, Rebecca McDill, Andy (Shelley) Dowdle; and numerous great, and great-great nieces and nephews.

A service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11 am at Tulocay Funeral Home, 411 Coombsville Road, Napa.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to an organization of the donors choice.  Words of sympathy may be sent to the family online at:WWW.TULOCAYCEMETERY.ORG
