HERBERT SIMON

1927-2016

Herbert Simon, 88, died April 24, 2016.  He was born December 7, 1927 in New York City to Philip and Henrietta Simon.  After high school he served proudly in the United States Army during World War II.  He earned his Bachelor's degree from New York University and his Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University.

For over 50 years he was a real estate developer, first in Dayton, Ohio and then Cape Coral, Florida.  He belonged to the National Homebuilders Association and the National Association of Realtors.  He was very proud of his long association with the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a Scoutmaster for many years.

Herbert is survived by his son, David (Lea) Simon; granddaughter, Sophia Simon and grandson, Benjamin Simon.

Military honors will be given at a graveside service at Tulocay Cemetery, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 3pm.  Memories and words of sympathy may be shared with the family on-line at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
